Their friend Susan joined us for Maria Doyle Kennedy's song "Stars Above". It was such an unusual choice for us, we've never played it before, but it was so fitting and Susan did such a great job!
As they included them in their mails to us, I've decided to keep the readings in the ceremony layout you see below, so if anyone is looking for inspiration for poems, readings in English nó i nGaeilge, you can check them out. Also you can see the running order of the ceremony, and how easy it is to personalise your own ceremony, they did a really good job of this!
Entrance: Loving You - Minnie Ripperton
Lighting of the Individual Candles:: The Shining – Badly Drawn Boy
Hope is the thing with Feathers by Emily Dickinson
The Song of Wandering Aengus –by W.B. Yeats
Music : Somewhere over the Rainbow
Suantraí Ghráinne – Máire Mhac an t’Saoi
Blessing for a Marriage - James Dillet Freeman
Music: Stars Above – Maria Doyle Kennedy
Lighting of Unity Candle: It Must be Love - Madness
Signing of Register: 1. Je ne regrette rien 2. Stand by Me

After the ceremony, we all drifted outside. We stayed on the patio area that you can (kind of) see below, and the guests gathered on the "boat" where they had the drinks reception and nibbles before dinner. Clíona and Brian headed off for some photos, and while they did, some guests requested different music ranging from Metallica to Irish traditional songs! Clíona and Brian were back before long, and were so kind to take the chance to talk to us afterwards, we always appreciate a chat with the couple in the middle of the day and we love to see them enjoying themselves!
Clíona is one of our super-cool followers on our Facebook page and wrote the following to us:
Hey guys! I just wanted to say thanks a million again for doing such an outstanding job at our wedding last month. You are so professional, calm and a pleasure to deal with, as well as being mega talented. Everyone was raving about the ceremony music and the reception music, which I must say was everything I'd hoped for and more (especially the ceremony music, I still have goosebumps!). Anyhoo thanks again and best of luck with the rest of the summer and beyond x
