Today we played for Niamh and Damian's wedding at the Star of the Sea Church in Ballycotton, East Cork. It's a beautiful Church overlooking the sea, and it was just such an idyllic setting in this fine weather! Niamh heard us at another wedding in Cork in November and booked us afterwards so we were delighted to get to play for her again, this time for her own wedding! We played:

The priest gave a lovely light hearted sermon and the couple were very relaxed, it lended itself to a great atmosphere in the church with tears of emotion, joy and laughter! After the ceremony the guests headed to Castlemartyr Resort for the evening, we wish them all the best, thank you for having us!

Jillian had a stunning backless dress with some gorgeous detail on the back of the skirt, and her bridesmaids dresses were a beautiful berry red. The church was adorned with flowers and ribbons, it was really something! The weather was (as predicted) absolutely gorgeous, and the newlyweds and their guests headed to The Brehon in Killarney for the evening, we're super jealous! Congratulations to the happy couple!

Today we travelled to Parteen, Co Clare, just outside Limerick city for Rita and James’ wedding. Rita found us online after Christmas and was very organised with all her music picked out before Easter! It was another beautiful day, and St Patrick's Church was lovely and bright insde and it was a lovely acoustic for us to play in. Here’s what we played for the ceremony:

The three bridesmaids were in canary yellow dresses and their sunflower bouquets were a gorgeous combination and the perfect complement to all that sunshine! The couple were blessed with fantastic weather for the start of their married life, long may it continue!

On Saturday 29 June we played for Conor and Orla's wedding in Glengarriff, West Cork. It was an absolutely beautiful day, the sun was shining and the scenery was breathtaking. Orla's bridesmaids were beautiful in an almost-Cadbury's purple, with pew ends and car ribbons to match and needless to say the couple were fabulous too! Here's the music we played for the ceremony:

Before we headed to the Glengarriff Eccles Hotel for the drinks reception, we stopped in the village for a quick lunch and had the privilege of seeing the newlyweds and bridal party pass in the beautiful open top wedding car and decorated convoy, horns blaring and drawing claps and cheers from the locals. The Cork Senior Football team also happened to be in Glengarriff and stopped for photos with a few people before hopping on to their coach - it was all go in town!

We then started up again in the hotel, and at the request of the groom played some of our rock music arrangements... Metallica, Sigur Ros, AC/DC, Fun, Coldplay, Muse, Journey with a bit of film music and more! We were perched in the perfect location, playing out on to the balcony where all the guests could enjoy the bay views and sunshine, and we had the bar right behind us so we were in the middle of all the action -  it was almost hard to leave but all good things must come to an end! They then danced the night away to Bentley Boys Band and must have had a fabulous night - Congratulations Conor and Orla!!!!
