Fiona requested "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd to remember those who weren't at the ceremony, we were so happy it worked for strings and we could play it for her.
Fiona had a stunning dress with an illusion neckline (sweetheart neckline with high lace neck that came into a sleeve on the arm) - and teamed it with red lippy and a birdcage veil for a really demure vintage look - gorgeous! Her chief bridesmaid wore a coffee coloured dress, her junior bridesmaid and one of the flower girls (her two little ladies) were in hot pink dresses, her other flower girls were in white and her little man was in a very smart suit with blue converse- it was a wonderful array of colour and style!
The weather was so wet they couldn't do the traditional photos outside so took all the group photos in the church. We didn't want to leave them in silence so we stayed behind for another half an hour and played until the crowd dispersed and played a mix of popular and classical music (including more tunes by Elvis keeping in theme with the wedding). We got a chance to chat to Fiona after the wedding, she was having a joke about doing things differently with having the kids before the wedding but we reminded her we've played for many couples already who do things this way around - congratulations to the whole family on a beautiful ceremony and all the best for their new chapter!
