We did get to chat to the singer, the best man, other guests as well as the couple on the way out of the church, it was so nice to have a chat in the sunshine with the wedding party before heading to our next gig. We're sure with the longest evening of the year ahead of them they had time for great photos and had a fabulous party afterwards. Congratulations to Catherine and Jason!

We were greeted by a piper upon arrival at Dromquinna Manor, and we set up outside, overlooking Kenmare Bay. Lucky us! We had all sorts of requests from the guests, they were great craic, and Nick and Phoebe didn't need to go very far for amazing photos, so got to mix with their guests and chat to us also. I didn't get any photos of their cute macaroon tower, I was too busy enjoying mine to stop and take a photo! They took the time to write to us to say thank you, and we would like to in turn thank them for having us as part of their day - Congratulations Nick and Phoebe!!

In mid-June we played for Antoinette and Keith's wedding in St. Joseph's church, Springhill in Glanmire. It's such a beautiful, fresh, modern church interior and on a sunny day it was such a bright and happy place to play!  The fantastic Caroline Fraher joined us on the day, collaborating with her is always a joy! The priest made his way through the congregation to find the couple/guest who had been married the longest, and had them give  a little bit of advice to our bride and groom, it was so sweet! He interacted with the congregation in a way that was funny, but also really helped everybody feel really involved in the ceremony, and the marriage. 
The reception was held in Garryvoe Hotel which as we know is one of the loveliest venues in Cork, so we're sure they had an absolute ball there for the evening! Good weather, sea view, long summer evening, what more could you need for the perfect celebration?

Our photos aren't the least bit professional (and Liz's uncle in in fact a professional photographer who did the photos on the day!), but hopefully you get an idea of what an amazing atmosphere there was on the day. 
Sunshine, laughter, happiness, a view of the water, friends making music... it was so enjoyable for us to be  a part of! Claire and her staff did a great job at the hotel and as always were very accommodating! We wish them all the very best and are so lucky to have been a part of a really unique wedding, thank you guys, and congratulations!!!!! 

The second June wedding took place in Monkstown church, followed by Barnabrow House in Cloyne. We loved the church decorations on the day from the vintage bike by Old Schoolhouse Flowers to the glass candles (the holders originally from L'Occitane candles). Our bride Grace wore a short and  simple knee length dress and her hair in a straight style with just a flower in it, it was so simplistic and beautiful. Bridesmaid Ruth had a knee length pale pink dress with an amazing pattern on it that we never see at weddings. Very unusual and,  5 months later I still remember the style on the day, as well as the super-cool mass booklet! For their ceremony music, they chose:

After the ceremony we played for the drinks reception in  Barnabrow House. The setting was just perfect and the staff were wonderful to us. The couple made time to have a quick chat with us before heading to dinner, it was lovely of them! We hope they had a fabulous day, and that they continue to have many wonderful adventures together! ♥

Our first June wedding took us to Kilworth, East Cork for Katie and Oisin's wedding. Katie's friend Chloe did an amazing job singing with us for the ceremony, she was such a pleasure to work with! Check out the unusual mix of songs they had for the ceremony (I've put links to the Entrance and the two from the Signing of the Register so you can hear the originals!), The weather wasn't in their favour and to save her beautiful silk dress, Katie took a little bit of extra time outside until it cleared up a bit, so we had plenty of time to play a few tunes before the ceremony. When she did make her entrance, she made it in style, to Daft Punk!!! Here's the full list of ceremony music:

Her bridesmaids wore gorgeous A-line red knee length dresses with gorgeous fascinators, and zebra-print shoes on show, it was fab! After the ceremony we headed to Fota Island to play for their drinks reception where we included some more cool music for our alternative couple! We loved playing for them and they were so sweet to us on the day and wrote to us afterwards to thank us, we were so delighted to be a part of their big day, congratulations guys!!!! 

Our last May 2014 wedding took place in Collins Barracks on the Old Youghal Road in Cork. We felt very important getting our parking passes and seeing members of the army band who we know from music college walking around! Our bride Liane put a very glittery stamp on the occasion, with a  sparkly dress, embellished pew ends and a dazzling brooch bouquet! They chose some cool music for the ceremony:
