On 5 April we drove up to Durrow for Richard and Nicola's wedding in the beeeeaaautiful Castle Durrow. It was our first time in the venue and it was just such a treat to play there. The staff had the room perfectly set up to accommodate us, and straight after the ceremony whisked us off to some chairs already laid out for us for the drinks reception. The venue itself is gorgeous, with magnificent decor and artwork. There are three paintings on one of the walls of the ceremony room, and their little boy Henry showed his appreciation for them by "woof woofing" at them during the ceremony, it was adorable! We see a lot of couples say their vows, but I don't know if it was our physical proximity to the couple, the emotion in the room when Nicola walked in (not a dry eye in the room), or what... but there was something so beautiful about the way they looked at each other! It was a really lovely ceremony, and we made sure to tell them afterwards! Their ceremony was celebrated by Eithne Dempsey of the Humanist Association of Ireland, she was so great to chat to beforehand.
